Tablecloth sizes
Ideally,
the tablecloth you buy should give you
10 to 15 inches additional length of cloth on all
sides of your table. Our 70" round
tablecloths fit most standard round tables and our 63"x98"
rectangular tablecloths fit most large rectangular and oval dining
tables sitting up to 8 people. Some rectangular tablecloths
in our standard printed collection have an oval pattern and
will therefore look particularly good on oval tables.
Acrylic coating and
Teflon treatment Acrylic
coating and Teflon treatment are two different methods of
stain-proofing tablecloths.
Acrylic-coated tablecloths are regular cotton tablecloths that have
been lightly coated with acrylic. The coating is
only slightly noticeable, but makes the
tablecloth virtually stain-proof. All you have to do is wipe
it with a moist sponge...and voilà! The ideal
solution for day-to-day use. All the tablecloths in our
Standard Printed Collection are available with acrylic-coating.
Teflon treatment is a revolutionary process that makes tablecloths
stain-proof while entirely preserving the look and feel of
cotton; it is unnoticeable, to the eye and to the touch. The cloths
are made of cotton fibers that have been treated to repel
liquids. Should you spill any liquid on your tablecloth, all you
have to do is soak it up with a cloth or sponge. Any stain caused by solids will wash off easily
in the laundry since it won't have impregnated the fabric. Teflon
treatment is available on some of our Luxury Jacquard
Collection tablecloths.
Jacquard
The term
“Jacquard” is used to describe fabric with colors and patterns woven
directly into the cloth rather than simply printed onto it. Because
of a pattern-making mechanism of great versatility, this weaving
process allows for the production of very ornate, complex woven
designs. It bears the name of the Frenchman who revolutionized the
weaving industry in 1800, Joseph-Marie Jacquard. Brocade and damask
are types of Jacquard-woven fabrics.
Care
instructions
All of
our products are machine washable. They should be washed
in cold water with similar colors. Acrylic-coated and
Teflon-treated tablecloths are particularly easy to care for
since they can be kept clean on a daily basis without
washing. They should be ironed on the reverse side.
"Sacs à sacs"
A "sac à sacs"
is a cylindrical cloth bag that can be hung from a hook, a
nail or a doorknob in your kitchen, pantry or closet, and in
which you can stuff an astonishing number of plastic bags.
It has openings both at the top and the bottom--you stuff
the bags from the top and retrieve them at the bottom when
you need them. It is definitely the most elegant way to eliminate plastic bag clutter!

Sales
tax
We charge sales taxes of 8.25% to California residents.
The taxes are directly added to your order at checkout. Residents of states
other than California will not be charged sales tax.
Shipping
Within the United States,
all our orders are shipped via USPS Priority mail. Please allow one
working day for your order to be processed. Once it is
processed, your package should take 2 to 3 working days to
reach you, depending on your location. For shipment to
Canada, please contact us.

Payment
We accept the following credit cards: Visa and MasterCard. Once you click on
"Add to cart", you will enter the secure environment of our
shopping cart, in which any information you enter will be
encrypted, so you can enjoy the ease of paying by credit
card without worrying about the security of your
transaction.
If you prefer to pay by check, you can simply select
"check" as your payment method at checkout. Upon processing
of your order, we will send you an email telling you where
you should send your check. We will send the order as soon
as we receive your payment.
Out of stock
items
We try to keep a constant stock of our products on hand.
Should the item you ordered be temporarily out of stock, we
will contact you immediately to let you know how soon we
believe we could get it from our French suppliers. We do not
charge your credit card until we have made sure that all the
items you want are in stock.
Return policy
If
you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we will
refund your money. You must return your
items within 30 days of purchase. Please
send us an email with your order number and the reason
you wish to return your items, and we will provide you with
shipping instructions.
Cancellation policy
If
you wish to cancel an order, we request that you do so
within one hour of placing it, because your order may
already have been processed and shipped if you wait longer. To cancel an order, simply reply to the order
confirmation email you received from us and tell us that you
want it cancelled.
